Invited review for Proc. XIth Rencontres de Blois, Frontiers of Matter, France, June 27 - July 3, 1999
Abstract. The emphasise in this review about non-baryonic dark matter will be on experimental approaches to this fast evolving field of astroparticle physics, especially the direct detection method. The current status of experimental techniques will be reviewed and recent highlights as well as future plans will be introduced.
