NGC 3368. - Sandage has classified this galaxy as Sc and as belonging to a subgroup showing a narrow ring separated from the nucleus. Faint HII regions are identified along the ring. In contrast to such galaxies as NGC 4826, the HII regions are not found in the regions of heaviest obscuration.
